How do we do it?
We offer your company our five (5) step INTUA methodology that goes from conception to measuring the impact of the behavioral innovation. Each step generates a deliverable, and some steps, such as training or measuring the usefulness that the innovation brings to the business, can be hired independently.
01
Identification of the problem and definition of the objective
Before designing a behavioral innovation, the intua team performs an in-depth diagnosis of the decision to be optimized. This is done through:
Option 1: DESK RESEARCH
This analyzes the decision-making context and reviews the evidence. This review includes:
Sociodemographic characterization of decision makers,
Literature review of behavioral determinants,
and review of reference behavioral interventions, among others.
Option 2: DESK RESEARCH + FIELD INFORMATION GATHERING
Qualitative methods, such as semi-structured interviews or focus groups and field observation, explore the cultural particularities of each case, and the reality of implementation (and not just what is expected to be done).
Deliverable: Behavioral Diagnostic Document
02
New perspectives
At this stage, we introduce the team to the world of behavioral barriers and levers that can affect decisions, as well as the ways in which, from practice, decision problems have been solved. By sensitizing the work team, they approach the project and we generate a common language that allows us to get the most value during the development of the initiative that is developed together. Training can be:
Option 1: PROJECT SPECIFIC
Includes introduction to Behavioral Sciences and specific barriers and levers applicable to the problem to be solved. It is taught in a total of two (2) hours in one or two sessions, prior to the start of the co-creation process.
Option 2: GENERAL ABOUT BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES
Program of eight (8) to ten (10) hours of instruction with an emphasis on applications that have been carried out in the sector.
Deliverable: Hours of instruction delivered, presentations made, attendance lists and certificates of participation (in the case of one-week programs).
03
Teamwork
Together with your organization's team, and starting from the diagnosis, we propose innovative solutions, based on Behavioral Sciences. Each solution will be assessed, considering the technical, financial and human capital capacity of the organization. In other words, the design of the solution will not only be adjusted to the needs of the company, but also to its capacity to carry it out. Those viable alternatives will be presented to the corresponding technical and management teams, who will select the solution to be implemented. If desired, we can also accompany the rollout of the solution.
Option 1: Solution Design
Applying Design Thinking methodologies, we jointly generate several solution proposals. Each solution will be evaluated, considering the technical, financial, and human capital capacity of the organization. Viable alternatives will be presented to the relevant technical and management teams, who will select the solution to be implemented.
Option 2: SOLUTION DESIGN + TECHNICAL ADVICE DURING THE IMPLEMENTATION
In addition to the solution design, intua can accompany you during implementation, to inform critical decisions that may arise during execution.
Deliverable: Document with a solution proposal, approved by the internal areas of your organization.
04
Utility
In this step, the effects of the behavior intervention are evaluated. There are three evaluation options:
QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION
When the conditions exist, an experimental evaluation method (A/B) will be used which will provide an estimate of the effect on the KPIs of interest to the business.
MIXED METHODOLOGIES
They combine the quantitative with the qualitative for an in-depth understanding of the effect.
QUALITATIVE EVALUATION
With this methodology, the improvements perceived by users are in trustworthy environments explored, which can be complemented with field observation. This methodology allows us to identify categories that go beyond what was initially proposed.
05
Apprehension
Deliverable: Evaluation report.
In this last step, a single document is created that has the learning intent for the organization. This summarizes all the previous stages and presents, in a very executive way, the project.
Deliverable: Executive document, with an emphasis in learning.
